ART STOMP 2012
STOMPIN’ OUT Breast Cancer!
Art Stomp – A Boot art Auction (link to event details) proved to be an eclectic showing of hand-painted cowboy boot {inspired} art auctioned to benefit the Virginia Ann Scheunemann Memorial Fund.
Along with an energetic crowd, Art Stomp hosted locally crafted beer and award winning wines both thoughtfully paired with tasty gourmet grilled sandwiches and delectable scratch-made chocolates (the pairings were incredibly satisfying!).
The evening was harmonized by the unconventional, folky sounds of solo performer and locally famous, Clinton Prager (link) leaving guests with a bounty of inspiration including boon bags (goodie bags), full bellies, raffle prizes and uncommon, rousing art.
Raising nearly $5K, Art Stomp 2012 gave cancer a swift kick in arse! Whoohoo!!
NITTY-GRITTY
40 artists contributed over 50 pieces to benefit The Virginia Ann Scheunemann Memorial Fund. Art presented itself mostly as hand-painted cowboy boots, boots on canvas and mixed media pieces. Local business also contributed to 100 boon bags, raffle prizes and gourmet foods and beverages.
